Skate bearings are one of the toughest parts of the skate ensemble. It is therefore necessary to clean them regularly. If they do not clean up and are simply too used, it's time to replace them. When selecting new bearings, the ABEC value, which ranges from 1-9, should be monitored. This indicates the accuracy of the production of the individual parts of the bearing and the accuracy (speed) of its running. Step 1 indicates the smallest accuracy, 9 the highest. The resulting quality, however, makes the mark in combination with the value, not just the value itself. Bearings from an unknown manufacturer with the mark 9 may be far less efficient than the bearings of proven brands like Spitfire or Element with a lower mark.
